Personal Assistant Services

The Personal Assistant Services Program at MCIL is proud to offer a service that allows our customers to live with integrity and to live self directed lives.  As a provider of PCA Choice services, we allow customers to decide who they would like to work with and when that person or persons will be scheduled to work.  Unlike other choice providers, we not only offer billing assistance and mandatory regulation of services, we also provide staffing support.

MCIL understands that it can be hard to manage your daily life and coordinate your PCA staffing needs.  That’s why we are here to help.

MCIL offers the following support to customers:

Assist with creating and posting an ad for additional staff

Pre-screening the applicants

Addressing problems that arise with a current Direct Support Professional (DSP)

A list of DSPs who are looking for more hours for short-term or long term employment

On-Call weekend support

As a provider of PCA services, we have made a commitment to the community we serve to support Individuals to remain in control of their lives and to be as independent as possible.  That is why MCIL continually works with other organizations, advocates, consumers, DSPs and community supports to advance this goal in the home, and on a county, state and national level.  Of equal importance to advocating on behalf of customers, we feel it’s essential to inform customers about changes that will affect them and work to promote individual involvement.

If you are interested in working with a provider that is well established and professional, and which operates with a sense of integrity you will feel through the customized attention we offer to our customers, MCIL is the provider for you.
